Oh So True

While in Portland, John and I ate at a Mongolian BBQ Restaurant. My fortune cookie at the end of the meal could not have been any better if I had written it myself. I have always wanted to create a notebook or folder full of all the books I have read over the years. I've envisioned that it would have a photo of what the cover looked like when I read it (have your noticed how often they change the covers on novels now-a-days?), a short description, and also my personal rating. This weekend I realized...what better way to compile this information than in a Book Blog!?
I am so excited. I plan to include both my current reads and those that I have read in the past. I really don't know why I haven't thought of this before. Maybe it's because that will mean that I have four blogs to keep going...Toss-n-Take, Cazier Corner, Anderson's Scout Troop and a Book Blog. Oh well, it's all in the name of fun.

My mom has kept track. She has the titles, authors, and dates all in a notebook (or a few notebooks) and she reads a LOT.

All In The Name Of Fun... Sure, but be careful - you're just a few more blogs away from ''Crazy Blog Lady'' status! :)

That's fantastic. It's a great way to be organized I think.

I love your fortune. It even works with the "in bed" ending. :) I think your idea's great.

That is definitely a great idea, especially for someone who loves books as much as you!

Before you go starting another blog, you should check out good reads. I like the site because you can comment and rate books, see what your friends are reading and keep a list of all those books you plan to read. Plus, the covers are already imported for you so you don't have to bother with the upload process. Check it out. Click the book widget on my blog and it will take you there.

A new blog or the idea of the person who commented before me - sound great! I would love to know what you've read and what your rating is on each!

I know exactly how you feel Amy being a book lover myself. I kept my reading blog last year and I'm doing the same this year as well. I just wish I would have thought to do this thirty years ago.

I'm so glad you are joining in on our book club!
I think a book blog is a great idea! I JUST started reading again after a 25 year break. I'm so thankful my friends got me into reading the Twilight series...I read all the books twice in a weeks time. I have since read 5 other books and am reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time right now. I am excited to start The Host! I can't believe I didn't read for 25 years-I forgot how much I enjoyed it!!!! I can't wait to check out your book blog because I am having a hard time finding decent books and you have great taste!

What a great idea! You can totally do this on Goodreads or Shelfari like was mentioned, but some people might not go there like they would your book blog. Oh, and Mike's comment was awesome!!
