Adobe Fun!

I took pictures at Paysons last soccer game and he is so photogenic! I already shared with you how to create this easy color on black and white look. I also learned how to create this collage! I love the look and it too is sooo easy!I would love to share what I know with anyone that is interested. I am sure there is so much you can all teach me too. I don't pretend to know even a drop in the bucket of what Photoshop can do...but we can learn together. Plan on a cool get together/ Adobe Elements how to class after the kids are in school.

  1. Oh that is awesome!! I doubt you live in NW Ohio. It would be so much fun to attend a, in-person adobe lesson. :o) Are you able to easily explain how to create this look?

  6. It really amazes me how things that use to be only available to professionals are now available to everyone. It doesn't seem like too long ago that the color within a black and white picture, pictures, were for sale everywhere. And now people can make their own. And how cool that you are willing to share your knowledge with all your friends. I hope you keep sharing your beautiful work with everyone here on your blog.

  11. Amy, I'm having some trouble with "text" in Photoshop, I was hoping you might be able to help.

Whenever I add some text it won't show up. As I type words and letters in, the text would not show up in the box. It, however, did show up in the title in the Layers table. I thought maybe this was a minor error that perhaps required a reboot of the computer, but the problem has not ceased. I've tried to look under all settings but I don't know what most of that stuff even means. Do you have any ideas why text is not working for me?

  12. I figured it out. Changing the resolution of the image took care of it. For some reason, when I cropped my picture it changed the resolution to a 1 ppi. I went back to the original picture and recropped it, and this time the resolution stayed at 300 ppi and the text showed up. :o) yay!! Thanks for letting me pick your brain to help me with this.

  14. ok- I tried your first instructional info. Look at my picture of Tyler & I. I wanted to be silly with our tongues sticking out, but didn't know how to just make them a little brighter then they were normally. So I went extreme.
How do you brighten the colors without changing the colors?
And about your class. My husband won't let me fly there for each class, which my comment was. Pa - leeeaseee... But this whole budget thing really stinks! So - what about you create another blog with the info your teaching. (If you make notes that is) And we can all follow along.
Because I had to follow along step by step with my your page open & the picture page open...

  15. Amy, I love the pics...isn't this stuff soooo fun!?! If you are loving it now, you are just going to eat up the next couple classes. It is amazing to me how much there is to learn! A class sounds like such a fun idea. That is always my first thought when I learn something new..."I've got to teach this to someone else...so many people would love to learn this stuff!!" Instead, I've just been handing out referrals to Jessica's classes. :-)
