Fairy Tales..According to Cayden

So yesterday as we were getting ready for church Cayden shared his two cents on Grimm's fairy tales...

Cayden: You know why Cinderella is kind of a dumb story?
Me: No, why?
Cayden: You know how at midnight all her stuff would go back to normal, well when they were
dancing why didn't she just say, "My Fairy Godmother gave me this pretty dress and
at 12 O'clock it disappears." Then the guy would say, "I don't care about the dress."
But instead she runs away and he has to find her, she is such a wimp.

    I was sitting on the bench yesterday at church and kept saying Amy, Amy, Amy. You never looked my way. Finally Eddie said- she can't hear you mom. Duh....

    That Cayden is so smart! I always thought she should just tell him too!
    It seems like it's been forever since I have been here on your blog. I am glad you got a new computer (I'm pretty sure it is the same one I am looking at at Costco) :)

    on one hand, who is going to want to date a girl with a fairy godmother?...creepy.

    Tell Cayden for me that I think he really nailed it. I have always thought that myself, I guess I just didn't ever articulate it so well. There are so many stories as well as real, life situations, where if someone would just speak up and tell what their problem was, things would work out so much quicker. Cayden might not be very old but he sure has figured out a truth that a lot of adults have yet to discover.
