Anderson's First Day

Heading to school yesterday, barely on time due to Andersonitis and new high school traffic...
Anderson: Mom, Where did you put my schedule?
Mom: I didn't put it anywhere, you had it.
Anderson: We need to go back home and get my schedule.
Heading to school yesterday, again, barely on time due to running back home for the schedule.
Mom: Oh my gosh! We didn't take any first day pictures Anderson!
So these photos of him at the school when he picked up his ID badge will have to do.
He had homework the first day back and I'm telling you right now...this boy is dreaming big time. When John and I go back to Hawaii it will be just that, John and I.

Anderson will be 14 in a few short weeks and I have to say...it has been a great 14 years with this kid.

  1. Ha ha--that story was so much fun to read! Though I can't blame you for leaving the kids behind if you go back to Hawaii :)

  3. Okay...This really has nothing to do with your post other then the picture of Anderson. Where in the World did you get the Tap Out shirt? We looked all over here yesterday and no one seems to be selling them anymore!

  5. What a creative story! I loved it. Anderson is such a polite guy - I was driving my girls this AM to the Spurgeon's so they could walk to school together (both MAC and CHS) and saw Anderson on my return trip as he was walking to school. I didn't think he even knew my family or my car, but he smiled and waved. Thanks for raising a nice young man.

  6. Thanks for the info on the Tap Out shirts... We went to Ross over here yesterday looking but they were all gone. We also checked some sports shops but to no avail!
Timothy is like Anderson-He loves Tap Out! Tim's friend is actually a UFC fighter and Timmy trains with him. Timmy has a couple of shirts but wanted more before school starts....He will just have to wait till Ross gets more in because I'm not spending $20 something on a T shirt! :)

    Thanks again!

  7. What a clever, articulate kid! Loved the adjectives. What a long way he's come from "dubadees" and "shrunkus".

  8. Hey, I have a suggestion. Let Anderson plan the family vacations from now on. He seems to be a natural.
