Fun Vacation!

I love Christmas Vacation!

We had a great holiday. We Played in the Snow!(Can you believe that it is actually illegal to pull an inner tube behind a 4-wheeler!? BAH-HUMBUG)
We saw Santa.
(I guess Anderson thought he was a bit too old at 13 to sit on Santa's lap. Cayden claimed he did it only for the candy)
We played games...Blokus, a family favorite.
(If you are losing pretty bad you can still create a very cool cat creature with your game pieces.)

We Played lots of Christmas music.
We slept by the fire.We read a lot of books! I had gathered so many books for the kids for Christmas that I ended up wrapping them up and the 12 days before Christmas they each got to open a book. They loved it and we found some new favorites. (I will have to share later.)
Happy New Year!

What a great post! Those pictures of your kids with Santa are all so good, they're great pics of the kids! We love Blokus too, and I love that Sydney is letting Branson play with her. It made me think of her and Payson playing Apples to Apples.
Love that coy smile of Branson playing the piano.

What a neat family you all are!!

You always take the prettiest pictures. I would be interested in knowing what camera you have.

I thought Branson looksed a lot like you in the picture of him sitting on Santa's lap.

I've never heard of that game. I might just have to look that one up.

What a fun holiday! Four years ago my sister hit all the 2nd hand stores and found me 24 various Christmas books-- board books to I Spy to easy chapter books. I wrap them up and the kids open them like an advent calendar starting December 1. They absolutely love this tradition.

I'm trudging through the worst part of Christmas Vacation today... Back To Work Day... This post made the process a little easier!

We are still enjoying our Christmas break. School is canceled today! {Sigh} I had high hopes of seeing that happy yellow bus in the morning.

Branson looks completely comfortable and happy riding with Anderson in the tube. What fantastic memories for your kids. Back to reality this snowy Monday morning!!
Branson is so easy going, not only doesn't he mind sitting on Santa's lap, he looks like he's really enjoying it.

It's good to have you back Amy, I've missed your happy picture filled blog! I need to get myself a copy of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I had one for years and when I tried to find it last Christmas it had disappeared. I love how you make reading a priority with your kids. My blog right now is a list of all the books I read in 2008, but I didn't include the picture books I read to my grandaughters. If I had my list would have been a mile long.LOL!

I can't even tell you how much I LOVE that first pic of Branson! I enjoyed having my kids home, too. Well, if not having to go to preschool 3 times a week counts.
