OH. MY. GOSH. Amy, you have no idea how much I love you right now. We should be best friends. Smurfs was my all time favorite game. We actually have it on video of me playing this when I was five. (I am stealing that video) And Heman? LOVED it. I thought his hair looked like my dads. Holly Hobby. I had a puzzle of hers, folders, etc. Oh man, the good old days. The only thing you're missing is Lisa Frank stuff :)
Too fun Amy. I think Dallas was a classic hide in the closet watch for us LDS watchers. Taboo. Loved Holly Hobbie things though. So cute. You crack me up because you are so creative and fun. I will get right on this trip down memory lane. I have so many though. What to choose? Hmm...
I remember all that too! My Aunt used to be SO big into Dallas. I remember going to her house in the summer & watching the eposide of who shot JR.
I had a bike like that too...
And let the flood of memories begin! This was really fun to read and to remember myself!
YEAH!!!
Oh my gosh, the Smurf game on Colecovision!! I had forgotten about that! Watching that video click brought back SO MANY memories. I loved playing that thing. This was so fun, I can't wait to do it.
What a great tag. Sweet memories... Luke & Laura, Who shot JR?--Man I miss the good ol' days.
oh this is an awesome post. can't wait to do it. how far back am i supposed to go? i can't steal he-man, but if i could i would. it was my all time fave.
I loved that darn smurf game. And those letter people, totally brings me back to room 5 at Ruth Livingston...Mrs. Easton had plastic blow up characters for each letter. The tv show Dallas reminds me of Grandma and Grandpa Mathews, they always watched that. Wow, Amy thanks for the trip down memory lane.
This is too funny. I especially liked the reference to DALLAS. I used to kick my parents out of the room so I could watch it. I can't believe that I was allowed to watch that. I was probably like 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sin, corruption, lies, deceit, passion, etc.. I was then a huge Knot's Landing fan when Gary Ewing left Dallas.
I actually had a nice, form fitting, (I was pretty slender back then) blue shirt, with a big gun sitting beside a cowboy hat, with a caption saying "I shot JR" I loved that shirt. The only problem though was that the show kinda started going downhill after that season.
What a great tag! I remember many of those things too!
I love the SMURF game. We played it for hours. I also love He-man. We had all the action figures. Mine was She-ra
