Over a year and a half ago this cat was a gift for Sydney's 6th Birthday. The runt of the litter he was already having to defend his manhood when Sydney gifted him with the name FOO FOO. He has been called Foo Foo Kong, Foophonious, The Foofinatore, Foofers, Foof, and ahhh yes John calls him The Evil One. His favorite spot is in the baby's bouncer seat but don't let this peaceful photo fool you. He is cuddly and sweet until you touch him in the belly and then you may loose a finger or an eye. The stairs are his domain and should you attempt to step over him as he purrs, seemingly asleep, you get the wrath of Foo Foo. Even after a year and a half our eight year old chocolate lab cowers behind my leg when the cat comes near. But for some reason we all can't help but love him (except John, I think he really does hate him.) As we pull into the driveway after school I get the same question every single day..."Where is Foo Foo?" And before snacks and homework Foo Foo is mauled with hugs and kisses. (He is an outside cat can't you tell?) Despite his evilness he is tolerant of babies, playing dressup and all the "imagination" games that Sydney has put him through...We love our Foofermister.

That is so Foo Foo Funny. I love it in the baby bouncer. At least he knows his comfort levels. He is a king in his mind. What a riot of pictures you have captured of him in all his glory. And about the dog, do you call her wimp wimp.
ABSOLUTELY adorably sweet...i love that you take photos of foo foo because he is a member of your family...on good days and bad! our little felines are equally as important to us! i grew up dressing up kitties and putting them in baby beds and now my girls do the same things. foo foo rules the roost, just as kitty cats do. we are guests in THEIR homes :) -- don't tell John this!
There must be something about black cats. It seems to me they always have the best and funniest personalities.
You would think the number of times I have pulled into your driveway lately, I would have seen foo foo and I don't think I ever have. I grew up with a cat. My parents got her before I was born and she died my freshman year at BYU. I cried and cried when my dad called to tell me, my roomies thought a family member had died. In my eyes, she was.
i'm still chuckling over the picture of the bouncer. i would totally freak out. abe and i hang more on the john's view of cats. glad he has a love in you. :)
Oh my gosh, I totally laughed out loud at this post, and that is rare for me. Everything, the way you told it was hilarious, and those pictures!! The one in the baby bouncer, the one of him baring his fangs like he's possessed and that one of him laying on the pillow with the hankerchief "blanket." So funny!! Thanks for the laugh.
So does FooFoo get himself into the baby bouncer?? That is so funny!
Thanks for all your sweet comments, advice, and encouragement. It helps :)
THE WRATH OF FOO FOO? ok, that one left me laughing hard. I hate that feeling of walking next to the stairs, or a bed and just KNOWING my foot will get attacked. I've had enough cats to know that its a universal trait for them all. meow.
